The City of Cotter recently unveiled the first phase of new branding and logos in anticipation of the Cotter Trout Festival scheduled for Saturday. Banners are installed in both the Downtown Cotter River District and in Big Spring Park.
The rebranding of the city comes in collaboration between Karen Montgomery, Cotter Brand Strategist, the Cotter Chamber of Commerce and Core Design, a branding company based out of Houston. The project has been in the works for the past three years and seeks to capture what citizens and visitors describe about what they love about Cotter.
Montgomery says “I love working on projects where people get to talk about what their town means to them. Their eyes light up when they talk about the natural beauty and friendliness of Cotter.”
Alan Krathaus, owner of Core Design, says “My team and I came to Cotter to install the donor arch we designed for the Peitz River Lights. I grew up in a river town, and after spending a few days in Cotter, fell in love with river towns all over again. It was my pleasure to work with Karen and her team.”
