A portion of Denton Ferry Road north of Cotter is closed as of Friday evening. Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery says the temporary closure is due to a mudslide. According to the sheriff, the closure will be nearly a quarter of a mile north of where the road changes from pavement to gravel. The closure is currently in effect indefinitely.
