The Cotter High School softball team was able to claim the championship of the 2A-1 District Tournament Saturday at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. Cotter dominated the title game over another group of Lady Warriors from Life Way Christian with a 17-0 shutout.

Norfork’s softball team wrapped up the week as the runners-up of the 1A-1 District Tournament. The Lady Panthers were also in Harrison as they fell to Jasper 15-4.

Norfork was able to win the championship of the 1A-1 District Baseball Tournament. The Panthers defeated Jasper by a final of 11-5.

The 2A-1 District Baseball Tournament also came to an end at the Equity Bank Sports Complex with Cotter finishing second. In the semifinals, the Warriors topped Mountainburg, and Ozark Mountain lost to Life Way Christian 14-1. Cotter later fell to Life Way Christian in the title game 10-0, and Ozark Mountain was edged out by Mountainburg 13-12 in the third place game.
