Thursday’s schedule includes the regular season finale for the Mountain Home High School softball team. The Lady Bombers will have another road trip as they go to Greenwood. The varsity game begins at 5 followed by the junior varsity contest.
Norfork has been designated as the host school for the Class 1A Region 1 Softball Tournament as it gets underway at Keller Park in Mountain Home. Jasper and Western Yell County get started at 10, Lead Hill meets County Line at 12:30, Omaha faces Scranton at 3, and Norfork takes on Magazine at 5:30.
Ozark Mountain is the host of the Class 2A Region 1 Softball Tournament to be held at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. The Lady Bears play Hackett at 10, and Cotter will be paired with Johnson County Westside at 3.
Four area softball teams will compete in the Class 3A Region 2 Tournament at Cave City. Melbourne and Manila get started at 10, Mountain View meets Walnut Ridge at 12:30, Yellville-Summit faces Rivercrest at 3, and Salem takes on Hoxie at 5:30.
Two area softball teams will have their openers in the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. Viola plays Marked Tree at 10, and Calico Rock will be matched up with Maynard at 5:30.
Two area schools will be featured in the first two games of the Class 2A Region 2 Softball Tournament at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden. Marshall meets Riverside at 10, and Izard County faces Buffalo Island Central at 12:30.
Norfork will also host the Class 1A Region 1 Baseball Tournament as it will be held at Clysta Willett Park in Mountain Home. The Panthers take on Western Yell County at 10, Lead Hill plays Magazine at 12:30, Omaha will go up against Scranton at 3, and Jasper meets Mulberry at 5:30.
The Equity Bank Sports Complex will be the site for the Class 2A Region 1 Baseball Tournament in Harrison. Ozark Mountain gets started at 10 against Hackett, and Cotter faces Danville at 12:30.
Three area baseball teams will begin action in the Class 3A Region 2 Tournament at Cave City. Melbourne takes on Rivercrest at 10, Flippin plays Walnut Ridge at 12:30, and Valley Springs will be paired with Harrisburg at 3.
Two area baseball teams will be at West Side High School in Greers Ferry for their first games in the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament. Viola meets Marked Tree at 12:30, and Calico Rock faces Hillcrest at 5:30.
Izard County’s baseball team goes to Imboden for its opener in the Class 2A Region 2 Tournament at Sloan-Hendrix High School. The Cougars take on East Poinsett County at 12:30.
Elsewhere on the baseball schedule, Bakersfield travels to Mountain View-Liberty, and Gainesville hosts Seymour.
