The St. Louis Cardinals are set to begin a nine-game road trip on Friday. The Redbirds start off in the nation’s capital with a three-game series against the Washington Nationals.

St. Louis is currently tied with Milwaukee for second place in the National League Central as both teams trail the Cubs by three games. The Cardinals are 19-19 on the season and on a five-game winning streak after sweeping a three-game set against Pittsburgh this week.

Washington is in fourth place in the N.L. East as they are currently seven games behind the Mets. The Nats are 17-21 after losing the rubber match of a three-game series to Cleveland on Wednesday.

Erick Fedde will be on the mound for St. Louis, and Washington will go with Mitchell Parker. The first pitch at Nationals Park is scheduled for 5:45. Friday’s game can be heard on KTLO-AM. The broadcast begins at 4:50 with Ameren Total Access.
