Salvation Army Week kicks off with free Block Party

National Salvation Army Week has been celebrated since 1954, and this year, The Salvation Army in Mountain Home is having events all week.

Saturday kicks off the week with a Community Block Part from 11 to 1. The day will include bounce houses, games, food, music and raffles. The week continues with a Mother’s Day service at 11 Sunday morning and the PS150 music group Monday afternoon from 3 to 6. Wednesday will have the Kid’s Klub After School Program from 3 to 6, on Thursday the Behind the Army Shield Tours will take place from 1 to 3, and Family Store Customer appreciation is scheduled for Friday from 11 to 1.

Major John Robbins with the Salvation Army says, “National Salvation Army Week presents a wonderful opportunity for us to let the community know more about the work of the Salvation Army in Mountain Home. We want to recognize and celebrate the donors, partners, supporters and volunteers who make the ministry of the Army possible and invite everyone to join us as we celebrate National Salvation Army Week.”

The Salvation Army is located at 121 Hwy 201 North in Mountain Home.
