Baseball and softball make up the local Saturday schedule as regional tournaments come to an end in Arkansas.
Norfork will be the host school for the final day of the Class 1A Region 1 Baseball Tournament at Clysta Willett Park in Mountain Home. Jasper meets Magazine for third place at noon, and the Panthers face Scranton for the championship at 2:30.
Izard County’s baseball team will be back at Sloan-Hendrix High School in Imboden for the title game of the Class 2A Region 2 Tournament. The Cougars take on Cedar Ridge at 2:30.
Melbourne will compete for third place in the Class 3A Region 2 Baseball Tournament at Cave City. The Bearkatz play Newport at noon.
Cotter’s softball team will take part in the third place game of the Class 2A Region 1 Tournament at the Equity Bank Sports Complex in Harrison. The Lady Warriors will be paired with Hector at noon.
Calico Rock will play for third place in the Class 1A Region 2 Tournament at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. The Lady Pirates meet Marked Tree at noon.
Two area teams will square off for the championship of the Class 3A Region 2 Softball Tournament at Cave City. Salem faces Melbourne at 2:30.

The Class 1A Region 1 Softball Tournament will conclude at Keller Park in Mountain Home. Jasper plays Magazine for third place at noon, and Scranton will be matched up with County Line for the title at 2:30.
