
The Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce will partner with Farmers and Merchants Bank to present the second event of a new quarterly series next week in which issues affecting area residents are being discussed. The next State of Breakfast is scheduled for May 19 from 7:30 to 9 in the Trout Room of the Vada Sheid Community Development Center on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
This quarter’s event will be the State of Community Development, Economy and Housing Breakfast. Guest speakers will be District 4 State Rep. Jason Nazarenko of Cotter and Arkansas Economic Development Commission Community Development Director Matt Twyford.
Chamber Chief Executive Officer Dani Pugsley says the State of Breakfast series began this winter.

Several issues are expected to be discussed when it comes to the economy. Pugsley says she expects tourism to come up as Twyford and Rep. Nazarenko address the crowd.

Next week’s event will be free and open to the public, and breakfast will be served. Those attending should send an RSVP by Wednesday by clicking here.
The chamber is already in the planning stages for the next session to be titled the State of Education Breakfast. Pugsley says they’re hoping to have the event in August.
