The Twin Lakes Literacy Council has recently received a grant from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for its adult program. It’s the tenth time the local agency has received a grant from Dollar General, but this is the largest at $6,000. Dollar General awards the grants that provide services to adults that need help with adult education assistance, GED or high school equivalency preparation and English language acquisition.

Heather Powell is the Executive Director and Program Director at the Twin Lakes Literacy Council. She says the grant will finance many things most other grants don’t cover.
