Izard County livestock team excels at Fulton County show

The Izard County School Livestock Team earned top honors at the Fulton County Livestock Show in Salem over the weekend, with several team members taking home championship titles across multiple categories.




Hazel Burns was named Champion PeeWee Cattle Showman and showed both the Grand Champion Angus Bull and Grand Champion Red Angus Heifer. Carson Cooper won Supreme Champion Market Hog and Supreme Champion Commercial Gilt. Faith Crider took Grand Champion Junior Swine Showman, Reserve Grand Champion Market Hog, and Reserve Grand Champion Commercial Gilt.



Danielle Hollingsworth had a standout performance with titles including Supreme Champion Dairy Buck, Grand Champion Senior Goat Showman, Grand Champion AOB Buck, Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf Doe, and Reserve Grand Champion Red Angus Heifer. Akynna Nielsen earned Supreme Champion Bull, Grand Champion Charolais Bull, Grand Champion Shorthorn Plus Bull, and Reserve Grand Champion Charolais Heifer.



Whitley Smith showed the Reserve Grand Champion American Heifer. Payton Speake was named Grand Champion Senior Swine Showman and showed the Grand Champion Yorkshire Gilt and Reserve Grand Champion Breeding Gilt. Ari Walters rounded out the team’s wins with Supreme Champion Breeding Gilt, Supreme Champion Market Barrow, Grand Champion Spot Gilt, and Grand Champion Brahman Heifer.
