Three newly elected members of the Mountain Home Public Schools Board of Education will be sworn in at 10 on Monday morning, during a brief ceremony at the district’s central office.

County Clerk Canda Reese will administer the oath of office to Brad Butler for position 3, Tommy Knight in position 2 and Marsha Partney for position 1. Community members are invited to attend.

District Superintendent Allyson Dewey said she looks forward to working with the new board members. “These three community members will be fantastic assets to our Board of Education,” she said. “They each come from different walks of life, but they have one important thing in common: they care about kids.”

Dewey also acknowledged the outgoing members — Lisa House, Neal Pendergrass, and Dan Smakal. “Lisa, Neal, and Dan have been instrumental in so many initiatives that have directly and positively impacted our students,” she said. “I am eternally grateful to them for their work and dedication.”

The district’s central office is located at 2465 Rodeo Drive.
