
A medical condition led to a car crashing into a business in Mountain Home Thursday afternoon. The accident happened at Holly’s Jewelry and left the driver with minor injuries. No one inside the building was injured.
Seventy-three-year old Nancy Diane Dugwyler of Cherokee Village was taken to Baxter Health for treatment. Her husband, 73-year-old Steve Dennis Dugwyler of Cherokee Village, a passenger in the vehicle, was not injured.
According to the report from the Mountain Home Police Department, the accident occurred when Dugwyler was making a right hand turn from U.S. Business 62 onto Club Boulevard when she had a medical emergency and lost consciousness. The car continued turning right into the parking lot of Holly’s Jewelry and crashed into the building.
Damage to the building was estimated at $20,000.
A Facebook post by Holly’s Jewelry says the store will be closed until further notice and they will be in contact with customers as soon as possible.
