A rural Mountain Home man with six felony arrests in Arkansas, five misdemeanor arrests in Baxter County and one misdemeanor arrest in Missouri on his record is behind bars again following an arrest for the assault of a man with a metal object outside of a bar in Norfork late last month. Chris Allen Brim was arrested Aug. 1 for the alleged assault which happened July 25.According to the probable cause affidavit from the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened in the early morning hours following a pool tournament at the Rusty Rail Saloon in Norfork. Two male victims told law enforcement they left the establishment between 1:00 and 2:00 that morning and were struck in the face with a metal object, knocking them unconscious.
The first victim told the investigator he doesn’t remember the incident. He remembers walking out of the bar and then waking up in his apartment next door to the bar later that morning covered in blood. It was noted medical staff at the hospital had to clean the laceration multiple times due to metal fragments still inside the cut.
The second victim told the investigator he regained consciousness under his truck and drove home. He said he remembers hearing two male voices approaching right before the attack, one of them he recognized as Brim. He says Brim and the other man hit them with a metal object causing them to lose consciousness. He says both victims have had numerous encounters with Brim in the past year.
Brim was recently arrested for third degree battery against the first victim and for violating a no contact order in the process. It was also noted Brim constantly drives by the first victim’s house.
Brim is facing felony charges of first degree battery and second degree battery for the incident. He also faces a penalty enhancement for being a habitual offender for having three or more felony convictions.
