The Mountain Home School Board of Education will meet Thursday evening at 6 in the district’s administration building to consider key items ahead of the new school year including approval of the 2025-26 budget.

The early August meeting, scheduled ahead of the usual third Thursday of the month, is aimed at ensuring the budget is passed before the start of school. Alongside financial matters, the board is set to hear updates on student enrollment, facilities, technology, and staff changes.

The District Finance Director will present the proposed 2025-26 budget for board approval, along with a routine financial report.

Other action items include votes on contracted services for dyslexia support and bus driver training, as well as the proposed purchase of a new school bus.

Several reports are also on the agenda, including academic updates, AP test results, and the debut of a video introducing new employees for the upcoming year.

Facility and technology updates will be presented and the board will also receive a report on student transfers from Superintendent Allison Dewey.

Following open session discussions and a superintendent’s update, the board will move into executive session to review personnel matters, including resignations and staff transfers.

The meeting is open to the public, and a time for public comment is scheduled at the beginning of the agenda. The District Administration Building is located at 2465 Rodeo Drive in Mountain Home.
