Crash between Mountain Home and Gassville Saturday evening kills 1, sends 3 to hospital

A crash between Mountain Home and Gassville Saturday evening killed one person and sent three others to a Springfield hospital. The Arkansas State Police (ASP) have identified the victim as 45-year-old Amanda Dickerson of Gassville.

The three injured include a passenger in Dickerson’s vehicle, 43-year-old James Gadberry, also of Gassville; and two people in the other vehicle, 60-year-old Donald Chritz and 35-year-old Justin Lunde, both of Flippin. All three were taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield for treatment of their injuries.

According to the ASP report, the accident happened when the vehicle driven by Dickerson failed to yield and was struck in the driver’s side by the vehicle driven by Lunde.

The crash happened at 6:05 Saturday evening on U.S. Highway 62 at the intersection of Baxter County Road 1160, which is just east of Tucker Cemetery Road.
