Thursday marked the beginning of the Lady Bomber Volleyball season. Although the matches that took place in Buzz Bolding Wampus Cat Arena on Thursday were exhibition matches, the Lady Bombers were able to sweep two class 5A opponents. The Lady Bombers defeated the Vilonia Eagles 25-23 and 25-21 and then defeated the Natural State Sports Network preseason #5 ranked team in 5A, the Mount St. Marys Belles, by the scores of 26-24 and 25-17.
No other stats were provided in these shortened exhibition matches.
The Lady Bombers will open the regular season in Harrison on Monday at 4:30. The 7th and junior high junior varsity matches will be played in the old gym at Harrison. While the Junior High Varsity, Junior Varsity and Varsity matches will be played in Goblin Arena.
