A former Pulaski County sheriff’s deputy and two others have been arrested in connection with a contraband investigation at the county jail, officials said.

The sheriff’s office said its Criminal Investigations Division concluded an inquiry into the introduction of prohibited items into the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility.

Jeffery Miller, who was a deputy at the time of his arrest, was charged with furnishing prohibited articles into a jail facility.

Authorities said inmate Lance Noid and Ameshia Burt were also arrested and face charges related to the case.

The sheriff’s office said it remains committed to maintaining the security of the detention facility and holding accountable anyone who compromises it.
