Arkansas State will kick off its 2025 football season Saturday night when the Red Wolves host Southeast Missouri at Centennial Bank Stadium.

The game marks the 14th meeting between the teams, but only the second since 2003. Southeast Missouri leads the all-time series 7-5-1, though Arkansas State has won the last four matchups dating to 1947.

The Red Wolves have 69 newcomers on their roster and return six starters – quarterback Jaylen Raynor, running back Ja’Quez Cross, wide receiver Corey Rucker, offensive lineman Noah Smith, defensive end Bryan Whitehead and kicker Clune Van Andel. That makes Arkansas State one of only seven FBS teams with six or fewer returning starters.

The other teams include Ball State, Eastern Michigan, New Mexico, Northern Illinois, Oklahoma State and Utah State. Of those, only Arkansas State and Northern Illinois played in a bowl game last season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Centennial Bank Stadium.
