Her work has appeared in The New York Times, HISTORY, and Navy Times, and she has been featured on C-SPAN, PBS, and at venues including the National Baseball Hall of Fame and the National World War II Museum. She also contributes to FOX Nation’s “Field of Valor” series, highlighting athletes who served in the military.
Keene, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Journalism, often speaks at universities and U.S. Naval Academy chapters on the service of athletes from the World War II era.
