A man charged with breaking into his former employer’s place of business and allegedly stealing a number of items, including a welder and power tools, appeared in Baxter County Circuit Court/Criminal Division Monday.

Thirty-six-year-old Brandon Mark Pfeifer who lists an address in Mountain Home pled not guilty to breaking or entering and theft of property, both Class D felonies.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on May 10, video surveillance cameras at the business captured Pfeifer parking his truck and taking diesel fuel belonging to the company.

Later the same day, Pfeifer was again shown on video and carrying what was described as a “some kind of silver pry bar.”

Pfeifer, who was described as wearing black shorts, flip flops, a dark blue shirt and a ball cap, used the pry bar to gain entry to the building where he is alleged to have taken the welder, power tools and other items mentioned in the probable cause affidavit.

The business owner told police that Pfeifer was let go from his job several months prior to the May 10 incidents.

Pfeifer is free on a $5,000 bond.
