
The Mountain Home Fire Department beat the Mountain Home Police Department 16-10 on Friday night in the fourth annual Charity Ragball game.
The Fire Department jumped out to a 5-run lead in the first inning and never trailed. Playing as the home team, the firefighters scored in six of their eight innings at bat.
The Police Department closed the gap to 9-7 with three runs in the top of the fifth inning, but the Fire Department answered with three runs in the bottom half to pull away for good.
The all-time series between the departments is now tied 2-2.
Proceeds from the event will benefit a local family whose son is undergoing extensive treatment in Memphis.
