
Mountain Home’s volleyball squads returned the friendly confines of The Hangar against Batesville on Tuesday. The night began with Mountain Home winning the 7th grade match 2 sets to 0 and by the scores of 25-15 and 25-11. The Lady Bombers would continue the winning ways in the junior high junior varsity game as they would defeat the Pioneers 2-0 by the scores of 25-19 and 25-7. Mountain Home’s junior high varsity would continue their dominance of the 5a-east defeating the Pioneers 25-6 and 25-9 in in a 2 set sweep. Mountain Home’s Maycie Carlson had 10 kills. Avery Carson led the passing attack with 18 assists and 8 digs. The Lady Bombers would defeat the Pioneers in a junior varsity set by the score of 25-22.
Mountain Home’s varsity needed a win in a bad way and they stepped up in a big way. The Lady Bombers would take the first set 25-15. Mountain Home led the whole way in set two with a 25-17 victory. Batesville would put up a good fight but fell just short of extending the match to a 4th set as Mountain Home would complete the sweep with a 25-23 set 3 victory. Daelyn Harper led Mountain Home with 12 kills, 12 digs, 4 assists, and 2 blocks. Lorelai Green, Annyston Crooker, and Aleigh Lucas lead a balanced attack with 8 kills each. The passing attack for Mountain Home was led by Cara Jackson with 31 assists.
The Lady Bombers will play again on Thursday, September 11th, as they will play a non-conference match against the Jonesboro Hurricane.
