The 2-0 Mountain Home Bomber football team capped off their non-conference slate on Thursday. Mountain Home made the trip, for the first time, to Rolla, Missouri for a non-conference finale that saw the Bombers win 37-10. Rolla, coming off a 76-38 victory over Miller Career Academy, got taught a lesson by another Miller on Thursday.

Mountain Home would be stalled their first drive but Barrett Miller would start the motor for the Bombers on the 2nd drive as he scored a 60 yard rushing touchdown just past six minutes into the first quarter. Here’s how it sounded on Classic Hits 101.7.

That would be the lone score for either side as Mountain Home would take a 7-0 lead into the first quarter break. The 2nd quarter saw Rolla tack on a field goal to cut the lead to 7-3, but this would be the closest the hosts would get to the Bombers. Mountain Home would strike back with a 34 yard touchdown pass from the arm of Brantlee Phillips, who just received an offer from Southeast Missouri State, to Carter Adkins to extend the lead to 14-3. With under a minute to go in the half Barrett Miller would punch in a 2 yard touchdown to give Mountain Home a 21-3 lead into the halftime break.

The third quarter would see Mountain Home punch in another score from Miller to extend the lead to 28-3. Later in the quarter Miller would make another house call, his fourth of the night, from 57 yards out, to give Mountain Home a 34-3 lead.

The final scoring play for Mountain Home would come in the 4th quarter when Isaac Ballard chipped in a 26 yard field goal to launch the Bombers into a 37-3 lead. Rolla would tack on one more touchdown to close the game to secure the 37-10 victory.

The Bomber defense came to play, led by Blake Vacco and his 6 1/2 tackles. Mountain Home’s Hunter Estes also was able to secure one interception.

Mountain Home amassed 515 yards of offense. Brantlee Phillips went 7-12 passing for 115 yards in the air and 1 touchdown. Phillips also had 16 yards on the ground.
