The future of the Contractor’s Truss Company building will be a key topic when the Cotter City Council meets Thursday at 6 at City Hall. The company’s parent, US LBM, has listed the property for sale, and operations in Cotter are expected to close by the end of the year. The city has entered into a Letter of Commitment with the North Central Arkansas Economic Alliance to pursue new economic development opportunities for the site.
Also on the agenda, the council will consider annexing property at 89 Chamberlin Lane into the city as commercial C-2, set dates for upcoming budget workshops, and adjust council meetings around the holidays. Updates on property clean-up efforts, department reports, and ongoing grant applications will also be presented.
The meeting will be held at Cotter City Hall, 115 McLean Ave. The public is invited to attend.
