The Baxter County Conservation District will host its annual Local Work Group Meeting and Fall Pasture Conference/Field Day at 5 in the evening on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the Baxter County Fairgrounds Education Building located at 1507 Fairgrounds Drive.
The Local Work Group Meeting, from 5 to 6, invites residents, farmers, forest owners, loggers and resource professionals to discuss conservation priorities in Baxter County. Partners for the event include the Natural Resources Conservation Service, Baxter County Fair Association, Baxter County Cooperative Extension Office, Arkansas Department of Agriculture, Quail Forever, and the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission. Dinner and dessert will be provided by Holy Smokes BBQ.
Both events are free and open to the public. Registration is requested by Oct. 3. Attendance at both events is not required.
