Patrick Mahomes threw for 270 yards and four touchdowns, and the Kansas City Chiefs took advantage of an injury-depleted Baltimore defense to cruise to a 37-20 win Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs (2-2) scored on four of their first five drives and never looked back, building a 20-10 halftime lead before pulling away. Four different players caught TD passes, and Xavier Worthy returned from a shoulder injury to haul in five catches for 83 yards.

“We’ve been making little mistakes here and there, but we’ve been learning from them,” Mahomes said. “I’ve been proud of the guys for the way they’ve responded.”

The Ravens (1-3) lost quarterback Lamar Jackson to a hamstring injury in the third quarter after he threw for 147 yards, one touchdown and his first interception of the season. By then, Baltimore was already reeling from losing linebacker Roquan Smith, cornerback Marlon Humphrey and safety Nate Wiggins to in-game injuries. They joined a growing list of sidelined starters that already included defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike and pass rusher Broderick Washington Jr.

Baltimore’s lone highlight came when Justice Hill broke free for a 71-yard touchdown run late. Otherwise, Kansas City’s defense controlled the game, limiting Derrick Henry to just 42 yards on eight carries.

“This was a big step forward for us,” said Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, who rejoined the team just before kickoff after attending a family funeral.

Kansas City has now beaten Baltimore in seven of their last eight meetings. The Ravens haven’t won at Arrowhead since 2021.
