Micah Parsons returned to Dallas a month after being traded to the Green Bay Packers, but the Cowboys’ former star linebacker didn’t get the outcome he, or anyone, wanted.Brandon McManus kicked a 34-yard field goal in overtime, giving the Packers a 40-40 tie with the Cowboys on Sunday night. Brandon Aubrey had earlier traded short field goals with McManus in the extra period, while Parsons recorded a sack that helped keep Dallas out of the end zone in OT.Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and Packers quarterback Jordan Love combined for six touchdown passes in regulation, including seven consecutive lead-changing TDs. McManus tied the game at the end of the fourth quarter with a 53-yard field goal after Love’s final pass into the end zone fell incomplete.

“It’s hard to wrap my head around it,” Prescott said. “I’d feel a lot worse if it was a loss, but I’m not satisfied—not even if we won.”

The 40-40 result marked the second-highest scoring tie in NFL history, behind the 43-43 AFL game between the Raiders and Boston Patriots in 1964. It was the first tie for Dallas since 1969 and Green Bay since 2018.

“This doesn’t feel good, feels kind of weird,” Love said. “Feels weird to go through a full game and end in a tie.”

The Cowboys had a first down at the Green Bay 5-yard line to start overtime, highlighted by a spectacular 34-yard completion from Prescott to Jalen Tolbert while evading Parsons, but could not convert for a touchdown.

Dallas (1-2-1) and Green Bay (2-1-1) will look to bounce back in their upcoming matchups.
