Arkansas State Police say a former jail captain has been arrested in connection with a felony sexual assault investigation.
Kenneth Lee Vaughn, 53, of Ashdown, was taken into custody Tuesday after an investigation revealed he engaged in sexual contact with an inmate during transport through White County to an Arkansas Department of Corrections facility.
Vaughn, the former captain of the Little River County Jail, surrendered to Special Agents with the ASP Criminal Investigation Division and was booked into the White County Detention Center. He is charged with felony third-degree sexual assault.
Bond was set at $25,000. The investigation is ongoing.
