In area volleyball Thursday, Bergman was dominant on its home floor, sweeping Melbourne in three sets to improve to 13-4 on the year. The Lady Bearkatz fall to 10-4 with the loss.
Yellville-Summit picked up a much-needed victory, rolling past Omaha in straight sets. The Lady Panthers move to 2-13-1, while Omaha drops to 5-9.
Harrison also grabbed a win, taking down Russellville in three tight sets. The Lady Goblins won 26-24, 28-26 and 25-19 to improve to 2-10, while the Lady Cyclones slip to 5-9-1.
Meanwhile, Cave City and Salem battled in a five-set thriller. The Lady Cavemen pulled it out, winning 25-23, 13-25, 25-19, 23-25 and 15-9. Cave City is now 6-8, while Salem falls to 10-9.
