A Night of Baseball and Bravery with Author Anne Keene at The Sheid

Acclaimed author Anne Keene will visit Arkansas State University-Mountain Home on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 as part of the Terre Ware Author Lecture Series. The event will take place in the Vada Sheid Community Development Center and is free to the public. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear the author’s presentation as well as purchase books at the event.Keene is the author of The Cloudbuster Nine: The Untold Story of Ted Williams and the Baseball Team That Helped Win WWII, a best-selling book that uncovers a little-known chapter of American history where professional baseball players trained as Navy pilots during World War II. Her father, who served as batboy for the team, brings a personal connection to the story.
