Bombers JV stays perfect; 7th grade falls in close battle

The Mountain Home Junior Varsity Bombers improved to 5-0 with a 27-18 win over Marion, while the 7th Grade Bombers came up just short in a 16-14 loss to Batesville Southside.

For the JV squad, Seth Lara scored twice, on a 1-yard run and a 24-yard pass from Kobe Dotson, while Dotson added a 1-yard rushing touchdown. Maddox Haynes connected with Jake Thomas for a 12-yard score, and Michael Gillam made three extra points. Corbin Lefevers recovered a fumble to help secure the win.

In the 7th grade game, Southside converted one two-point try while Mountain Home missed both, proving the difference in the 16-14 loss. Oakley Blagg ran for one touchdown and quarterback Dunn added another after hitting Gus Terry for a key 30-yard pass to set up the score.

The 7th Grade Bombers (2-4) will close their season Monday at 5:30 with a rematch against Batesville at Bomber Stadium.
