ASU-Mountain Home hires Jacob Clary as head softball coach

Arkansas State University-–Mountain Home Athletic Director Landon Hay announced the hiring of Jacob Clary as the new Head Softball Coach for the TrailBlazers. Clary will also serve as an assistant recruiter for the campus and as Associate Athletic Director.Clary comes to ASU–Mountain Home after serving as Assistant Softball Coach at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas, where he helped develop three All-KCAC athletes. He previously spent a year at Central Christian College of Kansas as Graduate Assistant for the Lady Tigers, coaching infielders, outfielders, and hitters, and also spent a year as an assistant coach for the baseball program at Central Christian.

Clary played collegiate baseball at Nelson University (formerly Southwestern Assemblies of God University) in Waxahachie, Texas, from 2015 to 2018 as a relief pitcher. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Nelson University and a Master’s in Strategic Leadership from Central Christian College. A native of Sacramento, California, Clary expressed excitement about his new role.
