MH golf team finishes in 7th at state tournament; Cormican claims all-state honors

Mountain Home’s boys golf club finished off their season on Wednesday. The Bomber boys made the trip down to Pine Bluff Country Club for the class 5A state tournament in Pine Bluff and came home in 7th. Little Rock Christian dominated the team tournament winning by a massive 15 strokes over the Searcy Lions. Mountain Home finished 27 strokes behind the Warriors in 7th place. Only one golfer in the state tournament finished under par. Benton’s Paxton Lane was the overall state medalist for class 5A. Mountain Home’s Cody Cormican led the Bombers shooting a 74 and claiming all-state honors and finishing in 6th place. Jack Coleman and Braxton Blagg finished with an 81 and came home tied for 23rd. Jake Brashears finished in 40th position shooting an 84. And rounding out the Bomber scorecard was Teagan Booy shooting an 86 and finishing in 45th. This concludes the season for the Bomber golf teams.
