
It’s a full week of competition for Mountain Home High School athletes as fall sports enter the heart of their seasons.
The Bombers’ tennis team will compete in the 5A State Tournament in Searcy on Monday and Tuesday.
Volleyball has a packed schedule, beginning Monday when Mountain Home hosts West Plains at 5 p.m. in both high school gyms. The team will then travel to Valley View on Tuesday for matches starting at 4 p.m., followed by a trip to Searcy on Thursday for a junior varsity and varsity doubleheader at 4:30.
On the gridiron, the seventh-grade Bombers host Batesville at 5:30 Monday, while the eighth and ninth-grade teams host Springfield Central at 6:30. The junior high Bombers will also host West Memphis West at 5:30 Thursday.
The varsity Bombers, now 5-1 after last week’s win over Russellville, will travel to Siloam Springs on Friday night. Kickoff is set for 7.
Cross country runners will head to Salem on Tuesday for a meet beginning at 4, and they’ll return to Mountain Home Saturday morning for the “Run with the Bulls” event at 8.
