
The 10th ranked Mountain Home Bombers were back in action in Siloam Springs on Friday night. The Bombers would claim their sixth victory and third 6A-west victory of the season as they would defeat the Panthers by the score of 33-0.
Another slow start would plague the Bombers in the first quarter as the Panthers and Bombers would play to a 0-0 draw after the first stanza.
Mountain Home would heat up in the 2nd quarter with 19 points. The Bombers would hit the end zone for the first time with 10:56 left in the half after a 2 yard rushing touchdown from Barrett Miller to go up 7-0. After a stop on defense the Bombers would march down the field and cap off the drive with another rushing touchdown from Miller. After a missed extra point the Bombers would have a 13-0 lead. Miller would tack on another touchdown with 90 seconds left in the half and the Bombers would take a 19-0 lead into the halftime break.
There would be a lull from both sides as there would be no scoring in the third stanza.
Mountain Home would force Siloam Springs off the field and then tack on another rushing touchdown from Miller to take a 26-0 lead with 9:54 left in the game. After a long completion from Brantlee Phillips to Miller the Bombers would need only one play to punch it in for the final touchdown and end the Bombers scoring and cap off a 33-0 victory. This would be the first time since the end of the 2008 and start of the 2009 season that the Bombers would shut out consecutive opponents (Searcy 40-0 (2008), Highland 43-0 (2009).)
Miller would have another dominant game with 5 touchdowns and 199 yards on the ground along with 93 yards receiving. Brantlee Phillips would be 8-16 passing with 163 yards in the air and 67 yards on the ground. Carter Adkins would also haul in 3 passes for 54 yards. Mountain Home would outgain the Panthers 454 to 153.
