Arkansas rallied late but came up short in a 45-42 loss to No. 4 Texas A&M on Saturday, extending its losing streak to five games.

Quarterback Taylen Green led the Razorbacks (2-5, 0-3 SEC) with 256 passing yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 89 yards and two scores. Running back Mike Washington added a season-high 147 rushing yards as Arkansas piled up 527 total yards, including 268 on the ground.

The Razorbacks trailed 38-35 in the fourth quarter before Texas A&M (7-0, 4-0) converted a key fourth down and capped the drive with a 12-yard touchdown run by Reuben Owens II to make it a 10-point game. Green’s late touchdown pass to CJ Brown cut the deficit to three with 10 seconds left, but the Aggies recovered the onside kick to seal it.

Arkansas, playing its first home game under interim coach Bobby Petrino, has now dropped 13 of its last 14 meetings with Texas A&M. The Razorbacks continue their homestand next week against Auburn.
