Arvest Bank’s 29th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised $18,000 to benefit three local nonprofit organizations across Boone, Baxter and Marion counties.

The tournament, held Sept. 13 at Twin Lakes Golf Club in Mountain Home, provided $6,000 each to the Marion County Nursing Home Auxiliary, the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District in Boone County and Grace Abounds Counseling in Baxter County.

The Marion County Nursing Home Auxiliary supports residents of the local nursing facility through fundraising and volunteer efforts. Claudia Brigham with the Auxiliary said her group was honored to be selected as Marion County’s charity of the year, adding that the recognition highlights their impact on the community.

Grace Abounds Counseling in Mountain Home is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide hope, healing and restoration to the community through mental health services, mentorship and emergency housing for teenagers in need.

The Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District is a nonprofit, multi-county planning and development organization serving nine counties in Northwest Arkansas.
It acts as a bridge between public and private sectors to support community growth, economic development, workforce readiness, and infrastructure.

Since its inception nearly 30 years ago, Arvest Bank’s annual tournament has raised $299,000 for area nonprofits.

“We are incredibly proud of the overwhelming success of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament,” said Scott Copeland, president of Arvest Bank–North Arkansas. “The generous support from players, sponsors and volunteers empowers these great organizations and shows what can be achieved when our community comes together.”
