Flippin moves on; Melbourne’s season ends at 3A-East Regional

The Class 3A-East Regional Volleyball Tournament tipped off Monday in Hoxie.

Melbourne’s season came to an end after falling to Harrisburg in straight sets, 3-0.

Flippin kept its postseason alive with a sweep over Walnut Ridge, winning 3-0 to advance to the semifinal round. Crowley’s Ridge also moved on after taking down Cave City in straight sets, while Bergman defeated the host Lady Mustangs 3-1.

In semifinal play today, Crowley’s Ridge will meet Flippin at 2, followed by Harrisburg taking on Bergman at 4.
