
The Lady Bomber volleyball welcomed the undefeated 5A-east conference champion Marion Patriots to The Hangar on Tuesday. Mountain Home was swept in the JV and Varsity match on Tuesday night.
Mountain Home would be defeated 2 sets to 0 and by the scores of 25-22 and 25-21. Maycie Carlson had 10 kills and 2 blocks. The defense was led by Shayn Wickersham with 11 digs and Zoey Throckmorton with 10 digs.
The Varsity match was not much brighter for the hosts. The first set saw the Lady Bombers go punch-for-punch with the Patriots through the first 15 points. Marion would launch a big run at the Lady Bombers and take set one 25-17. The second set saw the Patriots win 25-12. The final set was pure domination by Marion and would see the Patriots win 25-13 and 3 sets to 0.
Daelyn Harper had 5 kills, with 3 blocks, and 10 digs. The defense was anchored by Lauren Rauls with 15 digs, Maddie Simmons with 9 digs, Shayn Wickersham with 8 digs, and Kori Scroggins with 6 digs.
Mountain Home falls to 7-8 in conference play. The Lady Bombers will wrap up their season on Thursday with a match against Nettleton. The match will begin with the JV at 4:00 p.m.
