This week’s Arkansas Sports Media High School Football Poll is out, with votes from sports media members across the state. Teams are ranked based on performance, strength of schedule, and overall results, with points awarded based on ranking and first-place votes carrying extra weight.
In the overall Top 10, Mountain Home comes in at number nine with a 6-1 record. Leading the overall poll is Bryant, unbeaten at 7-0 with 15 first-place votes, followed by Bentonville, Rogers, and Greenwood, all also unbeaten.
Looking at the class rankings, Mountain Home holds strong at number three in Class 6A behind Greenwood and Shiloh Christian. The Bombers are 6-1 this season and climbing in the standings.
Meanwhile, in Class 3A, Salem remains the top-ranked team at 7-0, earning 14 first-place votes. Mansfield is second, followed by Charleston, Bismarck, and Fordyce rounding out the top five.
Other notable rankings include Bryant atop Class 7A, Joe T. Robinson leading Class 5A, and Dardanelle at the top of Class 4A. In the 8-man sanctioned division, Woodlawn remains unbeaten at 6-0.
Mountain Home fans will be watching closely as the Bombers aim to climb even higher in next week’s poll. Salem continues to look dominant in 3A, keeping their undefeated record intact.
