Five agencies took part in executing a search warrant at an apartment complex near Mountain Home Wednesday searching for a suspect in connection with the double homicide in Fulton County.

According to Fulton County Sheriff Jake Smith, officials from the Arkansas State Police, United State Marshals, Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Baxter County Sheriff’s Office and Mountain Home Police executed a search warrant at the complex on State Highway 201 North as they searched for 32-year-old Jacob Lowell Smith.

Smith has developed as a suspect in the murders of the two women in a home near Agnos in eastern Fulton County Tuesday night.

It had been learned Smith had been living at the apartment and investigators had been trying to track his exact location.

The sheriff says looking into Smith’s background, he has a history of violence and if he had any involvement in the murders, he would most likely flee. So, law enforcement decided it would be best to get sufficient evidence to obtain a warrant before proceeding.

Smith was on parole for a previous crime and an absconder warrant was issued Wednesday along with the search warrants and investigators got a possible lead on Smith’s location Wednesday morning.

Smith was not at the apartment complex and the Fulton County Sheriff says it is clear at some point Smith learned he has an active warrant and was named as a person of interest in the
murders.

Smith is described as 6’2″, with blue eyes, slender build, blonde hair (although it may be dyed), heavily tattooed
including face and neck, with a distinctive bow tie tattoo on neck and throat area.

The sheriff says if you see Smith of have information that may help locate him, please contact the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office at 870-895-2601.

The sheriff says do not approach Smith, as he is dangerous and he may be armed.

A check of court records shows Smith has six felony arrests in Arkansas dating back to 2017. His charges have included robbery, breaking or entering, theft of property, fleeing, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He has been sentenced to the Arkansas Department of Corrections once and served time in a county jail.
