The Arkansas State Police have issued a Be on the Lookout (BOLO) and officer safety warning for 32-year-old Jacob Lowell J. Smith, in connection with a double homicide in Fulton County. Authorities say the warning is in the interest of public and officer safety.
Smith is also wanted on a statewide extradition warrant for absconding and violating probation and parole rules in Arkansas. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The victims, two women, were found at a home in Agnos between Oct. 20 and 21. Authorities have not released their identities pending official identification. The bodies have been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsy.
Smith, a white male standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 165 pounds, was last booked on Sept. 30 in Van Buren County for possession of a controlled substance. He has a tattoo of a bow tie on his neck and facial tattoos.
Authorities are also seeking a stolen 2004 red Dodge Ram 1500 pickup with license plate BEH-93R, taken from the homicide scene. Two firearms were reported stolen: a Sears pump-action shotgun with a painted black wooden stock and a Charter Arms .38 Special. Both weapons have been entered into the ACIC as stolen.
Smith’s most recent address was listed as 311 Lawrence Road in Smithville, reportedly a family residence. Law enforcement warns that Smith has violent tendencies and urges anyone with information to contact the Arkansas State Police immediately and to exercise extreme caution if encountering him.
The Arkansas State Police are assisting Fulton County authorities with the investigation. No additional details regarding the double homicides have been released.
