Arkansas Secretary of State Cole Jester has received a letter of commendation from President Donald Trump for his office’s work to verify voter rolls through the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements, or SAVE, program.

According to a release from Jester’s office, the letter praised Arkansas for being among the first states to use the SAVE system to help confirm voter eligibility and maintain accurate registration records. The program is designed to verify citizenship status and ensure that only eligible voters are included on state rolls.

President Trump’s letter reportedly commended Jester’s administration for taking “decisive action” to uphold election integrity and strengthen public confidence in the voting process.

In a statement, Jester said he appreciated the acknowledgment and credited his staff for their role in implementing the program.

“I am incredibly thankful for President Trump’s kind words of commendation and encouragement on my administration’s work to secure our elections,” Jester said. “Make no mistake: the SAVE program is a critical program every state should use to secure the people’s right to vote.”

Jester added that work to further secure Arkansas elections remains ongoing.
