The Baxter County Historical Society will host “Trick or Treat at the Casey House” for two nights this year, Thursday and Friday from 5:30 to 8.
The event is free and family-friendly. The Casey House, located at the northeast corner of the Fairgrounds at Wade Street and Arena Drive, will be fully decorated for Halloween, both inside and out. The yard will feature a ghost cemetery with inflatables, several pumpkin displays, and a giant spider climbing the front of the house. Candy will be provided by Historical Society members, and parking is available on Wade Street.

Built in 1858 by Col. Randolph Casey, the Casey House is the oldest standing structure in Mountain Home. The historic home features two rooms separated by a dogtrot breezeway and was the site of the first county court and Mountain Home post office. The building is owned by Baxter County, with the Historical Society assisting in its maintenance. A grant has been awarded to begin roof renovations soon.

The Baxter County Historical Society meets the fourth Tuesday of each month.
