It was another packed Friday night under the lights across north central Arkansas and southern Missouri, and plenty of teams were fighting to close out the regular season strong.

We’ll start in Yellville, where the Panthers were searching for their first win of the year, but Atkins had other plans. The Red Devils rolled to a 42-7 victory, dropping Yellville-Summit to 0-9 on the season.

Over in Salem, the Greyhounds just keep on rolling. Salem battled through a defensive slugfest to stay perfect, grinding out a 12-7 win over Mayflower. That victory not only keeps Salem unbeaten at 9-0, but also gives them firm control of the 3A conference race.

The Melbourne Bearkatz lit up the scoreboard Friday, taking care of business against Episcopal with a dominant 55-8 win. Melbourne moves to 5-4, while Episcopal remains winless.

Izard County had a tough night, falling to Earle by a score of 60-0, while Marshall dropped a 54-24 decision to a strong Subiaco Academy team. The Bobcats now sit at 4-4.

In Mountain View, the Yellowjackets ran into a buzzsaw. Quitman’s high-powered offense proved too much, as the Bulldogs rolled to a 75-21 win, dropping Mountain View to 3-6.

Harrison also faced a tall task, taking on a talented Atkins squad. The Goblins fell 49-20, moving to 4-5 as the Red Devils improved to 8-1.

Across the state in Arkansas Sports Media poll top ten action, #1 Bryant stayed dominant with a 38-7 win over North Little Rock, while #3 Greenwood handled Southside 56-21. #4 Rogers took care of Har-Ber, 42-19, and Shiloh Christian cruised past Lake Hamilton, 63-12. Meanwhile, #6 Conway flexed their offensive muscle in a 55-17 win over Little Rock Christian.

And up north in Missouri, Branson fell to Neosho 42-20, while Forsyth picked up a big win over Houston, 56-35. Ava stayed hot, defeating Fair Grove 50-30, and Hollister wrapped up their regular season with a tough 21-12 loss to East Newton.

That wraps up another wild Friday night of high school football action. As the regular season winds down and playoff pictures take shape, every snap counts, tune in to KTLO.com for scores and recaps.
