The Arvest Foundation has awarded a $7,000 grant to the Mountain Home Education Foundation to support teacher training, classroom grants, and scholarships for 2025 Mountain Home High School graduates.
Arvest Bank associates joined Scott Copeland, president of Arvest in North Arkansas, to present the check to Allyson Dewey, superintendent of Mountain Home Public Schools; Mollie Morgan, executive director of the Mountain Home Education Foundation; and Dr. Julia Gist, president of the foundation’s board.
“We are honored to support the work of the Mountain Home Education Foundation,” Copeland said. “There is no greater investment we can make in our community than to partner with them and their work on behalf of the teachers and students of Baxter County.”
Founded in 2003, the Mountain Home Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing student education, recognizing staff excellence, and expanding community involvement through support from individuals, businesses, and civic organizations.
Dr. Gist said the grant would directly benefit students. “This generous grant will directly enhance educational opportunities for Mountain Home students, both in our classrooms and through post-secondary scholarships. Thank you for investing in the future of our community,” she said.
