
VFW Post 3246, along with the Twin Lakes Marines will celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States Marine Corps on Friday, Nov. 7, at the Post located at 214 West 7th Street in Mountain Home. The evening begins with a social hour and cash bar at 5, followed by a cake cutting ceremony at 6. A limited menu from the VFW kitchen will also be available for purchase.Lt. Col. Gary Smith Ret. talked with KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot News to give the history of the Marine Corps’ birthday celebration as well as the planned event.

All Marines, past and present, along with other service veterans who have served with Marine units, are invited to attend.
