President Donald Trump has endorsed Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders in her bid for re-election.

Sanders announced the endorsement Friday, thanking Trump for his support.

“Thank you, President Trump! It’s an honor to have your endorsement, and Arkansas stands with you in the fight to Make America Great Again,” Sanders said in a statement.

In his endorsement, Trump praised Sanders’ leadership and record as governor, citing her work on the economy, taxes and public safety.

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders is doing an incredible job as governor of Arkansas, a state I love and won big in 2016, 2020, and 2024,” Trump said. “She is fighting tirelessly to protect Arkansas values, grow the economy, champion farmers and ranchers, and defend the Second Amendment.”

Trump added that Sanders “has my complete and total endorsement for re-election.”

Sanders, a former White House press secretary under Trump, was elected Arkansas’ 47th governor in 2022, becoming the state’s first female governor.
