
The North Central Arkansas Veterans Council will hold its annual Veterans Day commemoration on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. at First Security Veterans Plaza 2000 in Mountain Home.
The event, hosted by Fleet Reserve Association Branch 251, will mark the 25th anniversary of the Veterans Wall at the plaza. Curtis Grant serves as commander of the branch, with David E. Butts as master of ceremonies and Deacon Jeff Speight of St. Peter’s Catholic Church as chaplain.
Speakers at the event include Mayor Hillrey Adams and Clint Walker, market president of First Security Bank. Music will be provided by KTLO Radio and the Mountain Home High School Band, with the national anthem performed by Kattie Laney. Colors will be presented by participating veterans organizations, and honors will be rendered by the Alley-White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guard.
KTLO 97.9 FM will provide sound and broadcast coverage of the event. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will move to St. Peter’s Catholic Church New Church Hall located at 249 Dyer Street. Any change of location will be announced on KTLO and posted to KTLO.com.
