
The Mountain Home City Council will hold a public hearing Thursday at 4:55 in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building located at 720 Hickory Street. The hearing will consider reclassifying certain properties from Ward 1 to Ward 2, presented by City Clerk Scott Liles.
Following the public hearing, the council’s regular meeting will begin at 5, or at the conclusion of the hearing, in the same location.
New business scheduled for discussion includes fourth-quarter budget adjustments presented by Alma Clark, adoption of an updated personnel policy handbook and repeal of Ordinance No. 2024-11 presented by Sue Edwards Strop, hiring a new auditing firm and finalizing a vendor for the Community Center’s café space presented by Hillrey Adams, and a resolution authorizing a public hearing regarding vacating a portion of 8th Street between Main and Hickory streets presented by Arnold Knox and Steve Hill. The council will also consider reclassification of certain properties from Ward 1 to Ward 2 and an ordinance regulating the use of billboards, outdoor advertising structures, and other large signs in Mountain Home, presented by Knox and Liles.
Public comments will be allowed before the meeting adjourns.
